Lemon Water + How It Can Change Your Life

 

Let’s talk lemon water. More specifically, meyer lemon water… because I’m obsessed with these lemons. Which means they’re pretty damn special if I’m writing an entire blog post about them.

Okay, let’s take a few steps back. When you wake up, what’s the first thing you put into your body? I love to slowly wake up my body and make sure nothing is going to be a shock to my system. We naturally detox when we sleep, so the first thing we put in our body can be crucial. Anything too hot or too cold is a shock to the system. So I like to wake up with a warm lemon water. Specifically a warm lemon and celtic salt water.

There are so many incredible benefits to starting the day with warm lemon water. A few include:

+ It can jumpstart the digestive system. Drinking warm water with lemon stimulates the gastrointestinal tract which makes your body able to absorb nutrients and pass food through your system easily. It also helps debloat you!

+It helps keep your skin clear! Vitamin C is also crucial for skin. It plays a significant control in boosting the skin’s elasticity and repair any damaged skin. Warm lemon water has contracting properties, which could help to heal blemishes and even scars from past blemishes. Bright, glowing skin— you know we’ll do just about anything for it.

+ It boosts your immune system. Vitamin C fights off illness. Taking it daily can work as a preventative.

+Reduces inflammation. Warm lemon water helps drain your lymphatic system, which is so important when it comes to flushing out toxins.

+Aids in weight loss. Lemons contain pectin, which makes you feel fuller longer! So no unnecessary snacking throughout the day.

+Increased energy. Lemons contain negative charged ions, and when those enter your digestive tract the result is an au natural increase in energy.

Now let’s discuss my obsession with celtic sea salt. Celtic sea salt is known for its vital trace minerals and elements and natural electrolytes. This also helps you retain moisture long after you’ve finished the water. Best way to keep your body hydrated.
